"Surrendered after a move. Spent 4 months in a kennel before Hearth pulled him."

Hearth Boxer Rescue · Est. 2018
We pull boxers from shelters and surrenders across the country, give them a couch, a routine, and time — then find them the family they were always meant for.
Hover any card to see where they came from. Every dog you see has been in a foster home — not a kennel — for at least 30 days.

"Stray found in February. Terrified of men when she arrived. Now she follows her foster dad everywhere."

"Owner surrender at 4 months. He arrived so skinny you could count his ribs. Not anymore."

"Rescued from a hoarding situation with 11 other dogs. She waited the longest. She deserves the most."

"We fostered our first dog thinking it would be a weekend thing. That was four boxers ago."
"The day we drove Maple to her forever home, she sat in the back seat and put her head on my shoulder the whole way. She knew."

"Our apartment is small. Turns out boxers don't care about square footage."

from pull to forever home
Our network monitors shelter lists daily. When a boxer's time is running out, we step in — owner surrenders, strays, returns. We take the call.
Every dog goes to a foster home, not a kennel. Four weeks minimum. Routine, patience, and the weight of a human hand on their back every morning.
We ask the right questions. Your apartment size, your energy level, your experience with the breed. We recommend three dogs before you ever fill out an application.
A meet-and-greet at your foster's home. No shelter smell, no kennel stress. Just a dog showing you who they actually are.
"We were empty-nesters who thought we'd gotten past the dog years. Hearth introduced us to Clementine and now I genuinely don't remember what quiet felt like."
